Can 120VAC models be "hard wired?"

No. 120VAC models must not be "hard wired."

120VAC models have a standard 3-prong plug that must connect to a standard 120VAC 60Hz 15amp fuse service only. Connecting to a fuse service greater than this may be a saftey hazard.
